Kartia's LabyrinthThe Dimensional Rift has already changed the perspective of the world in the minds of the adventurers of Aden. We all wonder if the Goddess Of Destruction is the last Lineage II update and, if so, what will be the next release given that NCSoft has announced the long-awaited Lineage 3 under the name of Lineage Eternal. This is the question I asked myself the other day when I was thinking that the passage of Lineage 2 to Free Play cannot mean the end of the game. To my surprise, I found out that GoD is more like a new beginning rather than the end of the game. Starting with October, a new update called “Lineage 2 Harmony Chronicle” was added to the Korean servers. And this update will definitely reach the US and Europe servers by mid-2012. The Lineage 2 Harmony Chronicle update will repair some of the bugs of Goddess of Destruction but will also significantly improve the gameplay and will make the “path to awakening” much easier. Eventually, the world fell under the rule of evil forces, leading to a group of young heroes determined to right the wrong and standing up against them. One of the main features will be PvE and PvP combat, with the screen littered with opponents and allies in a grand war of unsurpassed scale. There will be chaos no doubt, but apparently it will be going the way similar to Dynasty Warriors with all the crazy amount of objects, enemies and players on the screen at the same time. Mentor’s Guardian Harmony: Increases the selected mentee’s P. Atk. by 12%, P. Def. by 45%, shield defense rate by 30%, shield P. Def. by 50%, P. Critical Damage by 35%, and P. Critical Rate by 100% for 2 hours.
Mentor’s Magician Harmony: Increases the selected mentee’s P. Atk. by 8%, M. Atk. by 40%, Atk. Spd. and Casting Spd. by 8%, M. Def. by 14%, M. Critical Rate by 100%, MP recovery bonus by 20%, and Speed by 8, and decreases P. Def. by 8%, P. Evasion by 4, MP Consumption of magic skills by 15%, MP Consumption of physical skills by 5%, and skill re-use time by 20% for 2 hours.
Mentor’s Berserker Harmony: Increases the selected mentee’s P. Atk. by 35%, M. Atk. by 16%, Atk. Spd. and Casting Spd. by 8%, P. Critical Damage by 35%, P. Critical Rate by 100%, Speed by 8, and decreases M. Def. by 16%, P. Def. by 8%, and P. Evasion by 4 for 2 hours.
Mentee’s Mentor Summon: Sends the Mentor a summons request. If the Mentor agrees to be summoned, they are teleported to the Mentee. Please note that this skill cannot be used if the Mentee or Mentor are in areas where summoning is not possible.
In a really unexpected move, NCsoft announced the 3rd title for the Lineage series, Lineage Eternal, at a pre-G*Star 2011 press conference earlier november. And yes, Lineage Eternal - Twilight Resistance will be a new title, not an update to Lineage II. According to reports, combat will be action based with players able to make use of objects to their advantage. The game is slated to enter Closed Beta later in 2012, with its debut trailer coming in 2 days' time.
